We all encounter special events that celebrate the ending of one chapter in our lives, to the beginning of a new one. These are irreplaceable moments that we have only one chance to enjoy. Whether you are ambling down a candle lit path to your Matric farewell ball, or walking down the aisle between the decorated pews to meet your future life partner, you want to know that every effort has been made to make that life changing moment as magical as it can possibly be.
Being made up is not the centre piece of these fleeting moments which are soon to become precious memories. However, through my involvement in these celebrations as a make-up artist, I have come to recognise the magic there is in having a little bit of extra time paid to these simple aesthetic details. They enhance the build up to that final moment when you say “I will” or as you commemorate in one last formal dinner with all your school friends who have been there through boring maths lessons, tearful spells, hundreds of sleepovers and infinite giggles for the last five to ten years of your life.
Part of my work ethic is to make your make-up more than just a part of your to-do list, and to bring it to life as a whimsical part of the entire experience. My hours are flexible and so is my location. I’d love you to join me in my home to experience the open gardens and welcomingly humble environment. I’d equally love to join you wherever suits you best, be it your hair salon, your home or wedding venue. All I need is good light and a space to work with your individual needs. Wherever we are, your time spent under my make-up brush will be a time set aside just for you!
